Hi. My name’s Maxim. I provide compassionate support to individuals and couples as they journey through the challenges of complex developmental trauma. My clients often experience overwhelming anxiety, stress, shame, guilt, and a negative self-image. I understand the deep sense of isolation they may feel, the difficulty in trusting others, and the profound impact of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) on their lives. Together, we work towards healing and building a more fulfilling future.

About Maxim Morozkin
I earned an Honours degree in Criminology and Psychology from Carleton University, which provided me with a deep understanding of human behaviour and the criminal justice system. Building on this foundation, I became a certified Addiction Counsellor and gained hands-on experience at the Ottawa Drug Treatment Court.
My work as a counsellor and psychotherapist is supported by advanced training in Motivational Interviewing and specialized education in co-occurring disorders, enabling me to effectively support clients facing both mental health and substance use challenges.
I am Maxim Morozkin, a dedicated Mental Health Counselor with a strong foundation in therapeutic interventions and client care. My professional journey began at the Ottawa Drug Treatment Court and Rideauwood Family Services, where I gained valuable experience working with individuals facing complex mental health and addiction challenges. I later served as a mental health therapist in private rehabilitation centers in Costa Rica and Panama, which enriched my understanding of diverse recovery approaches and cultural perspectives. Currently, I maintain a private practice in Ottawa, Ontario, and share insights on my verified profile on Psychology Today in Canada.
